Capoeira in the Springs

last night colleen and me joined lydia and zach at their Capoeira class. it was super fun. really. right off garden of the gods road (in colorado springs), in the same shopping center that i used to go to church in. always weird to see places i used to skate. they look so little now. anyways. the place was called Brazilian Capoeira.

pretty much the only thing we learned was the basic .. dance.. thing. oh man. i have a bad memory for names. but we tried out everything they were teaching. the stretches felt amazing. and we kinda got a kick down. i would love to do it more. the learning curve seems kinda steep. but everyone in the class was absolutely amazing. they would all come by and give one on one instruction, and didnt seem to get annoyed when we would hold the line up by not knowing what we were doing. it was really awesome. i think the only problem we would have with the place is the monthly subscription. which for us right now is a little too steep. especially with colleen starting to work less hours. but we might be able to work it out.

i expect you to be a full blown ninja captain within the next 2 months.

I wanted to join a Capoeira class when I was in Jackson. I was also 7 months pregnant at the time. Needless to say, it didn’t happen.
